OUR GOALS

AN END TO VIOLENCE

We need to fix problems on the ground while we wait for Ottawa to fix problems within government. We recognize the need to end violence in our communities. The most effective way of addressing this systemic issue is to engage in a community-driven process to examine the collective safety of Indigenous peoples. We are ready to take action.

RECONCILIATION. UNDERSTANDING. RESPECT.

Our goal is to find the root causes, provide recommendations, and create tangible solutions to end violence against Indigenous women and girls in our communities and on the streets of Canadian towns and cities. This process is one step towards reconciliation. It will allow us to honour the lives of the women and girls that are no longer with us, to understand their roles within our communities, and to move towards a solution with understanding and respect.

Indigenous women are 4.5 times more likely to be murdered than other women.
Help us end violence in our communities with a First Nations-driven process.
